Times are tough right now and the future is uncertain for many. Some of us don’t know if our seasons will happen, if schools will be open, if we will have a job to get back to, and many many other things that we can’t control. So-what should we do? What are we supposed to be doing right now to get ready for the season if we don’t even know what our season will look like? What resources should you be using? Do you need to drop hundreds or thousands of dollars on synthetic ice?
The answer to these questions is a lot simpler than you may think. You do not need to drop a ton of money-most people aren’t in a position to commit money to arbitrary things right now. I don’t think that you need to spend $30+ dollars for a short Zoom session, $hundreds for ‘custom programs’ or off-ice equipment, or whatever else Instagram is telling you is the next big thing that you need to improve. Here is what you need-work ethic and motivation.
Look, I am not here to sell you on my programs-but I will tell you that dollar for dollar I am staying on the low end of pricing to get to as many goalies as possible and help as many of you as I can. I will tell you that I have personally spent thousands on my own training, education, and business to get the word out. I am doing this as my side job-my passion project if you will. Truth be told I am lucky because this isn’t my full-time gig so I don’t have to scramble and worry week to week right now like so many full-time coaches and trainers do. I feel very grateful and fortunate for that.
My full time job is as a firefighter/medic in MI and trust me times have been crazy for us. This has encouraged me to dump time and energy into this business to build it into a positive during these times of negativity. In the past month I have built 2 free programs, 3 paid programs, and an awesome private Facebook group which has been amazing because it has allowed me to get to know fellow female goalies from literally all over the world and interact with them. Most importantly though all of these things have allowed me to provide a bright spot in so many goalies days and give them some type of routine to focus back on the sport that they love.
With all of that being said I encourage you to check out the paid programs-30 Day Month Long, Quick in the Crease Agility, and the monthly Goalie Gym Pass. All of these options are under $50 for the next month or months-however long it takes to get back on our feet-I am committed to keeping my prices low. Sign up for the free challenges-you will get a week long workout with strength, stamina, flexibility, hand-eye, stick handling, and recovery routines that you can keep for forever and it is accessible anywhere because it is a PDF. Same for the agility program-a 3 day challenge to get you moving with quick simple workouts. None of this requires equipment or a garage turned into a synthetic hockey rink-all these require is for you to sign up and show up.
Stay safe during these crazy times, I truly enjoy getting to know each of you and working to offer you the resources that I so badly wanted as a goalie growing up. This is my passion-reach out to me if you have any questions or suggestions or even if you’re in a bad spot. I am here to help.
